The Grace Of God Is Sufficient For You - Part 1
Grace is defined as that which God does for humanity through His Son, Jesus Christ and we cannot earn it. We do not deserve it and we will never merit it. It is God's unmerited favour, in spite of our failings. Grace is summed up in the person, name and work of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Grace is also an expression of love and goodwill bestowed on us by our Heavenly Father. He has anointed our lips with grace and He has blessed us forever. Our God always gives grace to the humble but opposes the proud. When we are walking under the grace of God, we need to be careful not to allow pride to set in. If we let pride take over us, we will be walking on dangerous ground, as God detests pride. I pray that this will not be your portion, in Jesus' matchless name. Amen
Apostle Paul recognized the grace of God on His life. He said in Ephesians 3:8-9, "Although I am less than the least of all God's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles, the unsearcheable riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things."
Even though Paul did not deserve this grace, he was chosen to preach the gospel to the Gentiles. Yes, he may have had a horrible past, but God gave him grace to do that which he was called to do, only for HIS glory. When a thorn tormented Paul in his flesh, he pleaded three times with the Lord to take it away from him. But the Lord told him that He was with him and that was all he needed.
God also told Paul that HIS grace was sufficient for him and HIS power shows us best in weal people. It was only then that Paul was glad to boast how weak he was and he was glad to be a demonstration of God's power. He was not willing to show off his own power and abilities. Since Paul knew that it was all for Christ's good, he was quite happy about the thorn, insults, hardships, persecution and difficulties. He knew that he had to depend on God for strength, through His grace.
God's love has no limit and His grace has no measure. Out of the infinite riches in Jesus, He gives grace to us again and again. Our sin is great but God's grace is greater. Alleluia! Our Heavenly father has not promised that our lives will be easy but He has promised to sustain us in our struggle and uphold us with HIS mighty Arm.
If you trust God completely, He will give you grace to make your way bravely through extraordinary difficult situations. The trials God permits in your life will lead to His promise and glory, if you abide in HIM totally. He will not allow you to be pressed beyond endurance, as He will raise His Hand and save you. Let His grace be sufficient for you always.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
If you have not already committed your life to Jesus and you would like to do so now, please pray this prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I am sorry for all the things I have done wrong. Thank you for dying for me on the cross, to set me free from my sins. I ask you to come into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen."
Congratulations, if you have prayed this prayer. Please look for a Bible-believing church, to fellowship with the brethren. Please do not hesitate to contact me, if I can be of any assistance to you. Remain blessed and enjoy the presence of the Lord.
