We Need To Teach Charity In Our Homes, Blanket America Is Showing Us How!
There's a movement under way to give away 1,000,000 blankets to the needy this year. Impressed by President Obama’s message of our patchwork heritage, Blanket America is below way. The acquisition of every souvenir quilt will ensure the donation of a heat blanket to the less fortunate.
Blanket America (see blanketamerica.com coming soon) is a program inspired by this message of unity. The program offers a heritage quilt with a material patchwork style on the front, with the words of the President’s January 20th, 2009 address on the reverse. This keepsake quilt represents our unity and generous spirit as a nation.
For every quilt purchased a blanket will be donated through Gifts In Kind International. The goal is to reach as several of the thirty five million Americans who live in poverty as potential with a message of caring and support and a practical gift of warmth.
With the oncoming winter and economic struggles facing families, these quilts will represent a message of hope and unity, bringing Americans along as they share thoughts and needs on www.blanketamerica.com. This can be the center for sharing the message as we move forward on this project.
Costs for the quilts are very affordable, starting at $59.99, and no extra donation is required to make the gift of a blanket, this can be a part of every purchase. There also are matching pillows and pillow shams available to complete the set. These are colorful patchwork and will easily work in any color scheme.
As President Obama stated, our patchwork heritage is that the mixing of all the people, abundant stronger together than apart. He referred to as on the nation to unite and to help one another. This quilt symbolizes that mission of mercy.
Comprised of 13 different fabrics representing the thirteen original states, these patchwork quilts will be out there in 3 sizes, lap blanket, full/queen, and king. Together with the ornamental pillow shams they will become family keepsakes representing your support of this nationwide program and a remembrance of your gift to others.
Also included could be a car magnet to help spread the word regarding the program and let people know you're involved. The magnet is a patchwork design and can safely attach to your vehicle.
