Among the numerous landscapes in China, there are several marvelous places for the travelers to visit. The following are four top scenic spots the writer recommends.
Pamir Plateau (Xinjiang)
Pamir Plateau is the polar region of West Xinjiang, China, with the average altitude of over 5000 meters. It is located in the area of Kongur and Muztagata mountains to the west and southwest of Kashgar city of Xinjiang. The most west point of it is near to Kara Lake of Tajikistan. The two mountains Kongur and Muztagata are called the Father of Glaciers and popular among mountain-climbers. Pamir is the most dangerous and mysterious section of ancient Silk Road. The time from July to September is the golden period to visit Pamir.
Mohe County (Heilongjiang)
Mohe is the most north county of China. It is located in the south bank of Heilongjiang River, the northern slope of Daxinganling Mountain Series and sitting facing to Chita state and Amur state, Russia. Every time before and after the summer solstice, there are nearly 20 hours to see the sun, which is known as the phenomenon of the polar day. Sometimes people will see the gorgeous colorful northern lights, so it is also called North Pole of China.
Nansha Islands (Hainan)
Nansha Islands, with the most islands of China, is one of the most south islands in China South Sea. The main islands are Taiping Island, Nanwei Island, Zhongye Island, Zhenghe reefs, Wan'an Beach and so on. Zengmu Shoal is the most southern point of Chinese territory.
Suifenhe City (Heilongjiang)
Suifenhe City was named after the River, but only a small tributary flowing through the city. As a river, the main stream of Suifenhe is flowing through the Territory of Dongning County and eventually flowing into the Sea of Japan through Russia. It has many aliases. Because it is located on the mountain, it looks full of clouds in the summer. For near to the border line of Russia, it is called Border Town.
