For several years now I have challenged myself to improve in my personal life and business world. Knowing it would not be easy but realizing that it would help expand my horizons. A new year has begun and some old goals mixed with news have been set.
Now is the time to put everything that is done daily in perspective by following a few common rules. It is okay if you do not like them they are your best friend and will keep you in line and on track. Doing things that we do not like shows us almost on a daily basis that we can reap the rewards of a successful completion of a long journey.
Now you maybe asking, "What are the common rules?"
Rule #1: Set your goals.
Most people only wish or make a comment that they wish that they could do this or that. Making them impossible to reach.
Right now get a piece a paper and write down what you really what to accomplish this year. To make it realistic maybe begin with three or four will be a good start.
Remember that the ones you write down on paper are the ones that you are committing to see through to the end. Make sure you are serious and passionate about them. It makes all the difference in the world.
Now you are ready to move on to the next rule.
Rule #2: Plan your goals.
Most of the set goals are never reached because a plan is never created. That means they were only hoped for but never really desired.
If you hope for something that means you may or may not want to see them through to the end. Buy if they are desired then and only then will they be seen through to the end. Each step will be carefully calculated to make sure that there will be victory.
Rule #3: Stick to your goals.
Do you believe this writer is bold enough to say that sticking to set goals is mandatory. If it is not required then who will remain on course. It is easy enough already to get side tracked and merge into another direction with very little effort.
Make it as difficult as possible by super gluing them into your brain. Create a resistance barrier that will prevent you from going on a nonproductive trip. Keep in mind that results is what is needed.
Rule #4: Reach your goals.
When you arrive at the date that was set for your goal to be completed you will be happy. The things that were learned during this process will be carried into the next phase. This is good and you will always be adding more knowledge as other goals are successfully accomplished.
In conclusion, rules will make you and break you. Both are good for many reasons. But for the main reason they will force you to sacrifice to get things done when they should be. This is encouraged if you look over the rules on a daily basis for at least five to ten minutes.

The Riot that Never Was $22.99 Combining the moral indignation of Émile Zola and the writing talent and historical perspective of Pierre Berton, this detailed inquiry claims that an 1832 Montreal riot—which allegedly caused British troops to open fire—simply never happened and that there was no mob when soldiers opened fire, leaving three innocent bystanders dead. The examination corroborates these assertions with affidavits presented to a packed grand jury that exonerated the soldiers, officers, and magistrates who called in the troops. Also noteworthy is that the grand jury comprised a majority of recently arrived English-speaking Protestant farmers, even though the three victims were French Canadian and Catholic. Most troubling, the author notes, is the fact that historians have not questioned the official story; but here he attempts to set the record straight. |

Now or Never $6.99 Personnel includes: Nick Carter (vocals); Matthew Gerrard (various instruments, programming); Gary Clark (guitar, bass, keyboards, background vocals); Brian Kierulf (guitar, programming); Esbjorn Ohrwall, Peter Kvint (guitar); Steve Mac (keyboards); Josh Schwartz (bass, background vocals); Georff Dugmore (drums); DJ Spinz (scratches); Martin Brammer, Alison Clark (background vocals).Producers include: Matthew Gerrard, Gary Clark, Brian Kierfulf, Josh Schwartz, Steve Mac.With baby brother Aaron wowing the Nickelodeon set and the Backstreet Boys cooling their collective heels, Nick Carter decided it was NOW OR NEVER to drop a debut. Rocking out a bit more than his former group, this New Yorker still manages to strike an even-handed balance between the ballads sure to make the gals swoon and slightly harder-edged fare. Despite these aspirations to break out on his own, Carter is no fool, as he wisely enlisted Swedish bubblegum gurus Max Martin and Rami to maintain a degree of creative presence in this project. Thus you have numbers like the subtle, mid-tempo pop nugget "Blow Your Mind" and "I Just Wanna Take You Home" (a crash-and-bang song that sounds like a musical sibling of Bon Jovi's "It's My Life"). Otherwise, Carter pleases the girls with potential prom themes like "Do I Have To Cry For You" and the epic "Heart Without A Home (I'll Be Yours)." But like Bryan Adams, Carter realizes kids just wanna rock and he obliges by doing an imitation of the raspy Canuck on the loping "Miss America" and the pseudo-metal anthem "Girls In The USA". |

Never Say Die is the true story of what followed . . . Since the motorcycle crash that left her paralyzed from the chest down, Melanie's life has been one of extremes. She endured months of despair and indignity in rehabilitation, was in another serious car crash, and was diagnosed with breast cancer. On the plus side, she's won medals in athletics for Wales, dabbled with the film world, and set up her own rehabilitation charity. She has also, against all the odds, found lasting happiness, having fallen in love and married the surgeon who 25 years earlier told her she would never walk again. This is Melanie's story. |

Oddly enough, it's just when Edward and Meg are finally out of each other's shadows that the trouble begins. Within just a week, Meg's aspirations for popularity, imaginary boyfriend, and angst over a terrible yellow ensemble her mother has chosen combine with Edward's devious planning, lack of singing ability, and top-secret soft spot to set off a showdown the likes of which twindom has never before seen. How is it, then, that this final showdown is so much fun? Could it be that Meg and Edward are more alike than they thought? Never mind. Read the book |

Never Too Late (Paperback) $20.71 Never Too Late is career correspondent and author Roy Rowan`s rousing testament to the fact that if you are still in reasonably good health and have a career or set of interests to pursue, your swan-song years can be among your most productive. He shares his views of the pleasures and potentials of old age based on a long life of adventure?from his decades covering wars and revolutions across the globe to the jogging that took him through his eighties and the fishing that fills so many of his days as a nonagenarian. Throughout he weaves in the lessons he has learned along the way and addresses a spectrum of topics, including the subjectivity of the label ?old,? the importance of optimism, and the fight to maintain independence as the years go by.
