If Harry Potter owned an iPhone, what apps would our favourite Quidditch star have on his iPhone homepage?
Everyone in the modern world is familiar with the loveable childhood character of Harry Potter. J.K Rowling's books went global, and the Harry Potter fad has now extended into a world of merchandise, films and even a Theme Park. But the question we're asking is what apps would the Voldermort fighting star want on his iPhone?
Of course our favourite wizard star would need a Quidditch report on his iPhone, an app specifically designed to give the full weather conditions of the area any Quidditch goer would need to know. His pre match nerves are sure to be quelled when he can see the direction of the wind and the strength of the sun that he will be playing in. Plus a prediction feature could allow him to plan for the many games ahead! We personally feel this is a necessity for any wizard, and feel Gryffindor's record against Slytherin would be much improved with the use of it.
A DA communication app would of course be another necessity, it would allow the entire group of Dumbledore's Army to communicate and pass messages between themselves without any fear of interception! Although we agree that Hermione's coin trick was fabulous, we feel the DA should move with the times and lean towards a more technological approach. The best part would be that they could prevent Malfoy and Professor Umbridge from getting in, they could have a voice recognition, or fingerprint feature so only DA members can get in!
Or maybe Harry should up his level of technology entirely and have a spell finder. Whenever he was struggling for the spell or the wand movement to complete a task, he could turn to his handy iPhone which would provide clear instructions and a step by step tutorial including wand movements and pronunciation! Quick and easy to use in all situations he is sure to never be spellbound by Severus Snape again. After all, we can't all have the brains of Hermione Granger.
As for an app to aid Harry in his hunt across the wizarding world for the seven Horcruxes, hidden by Voldermort; we propose a Horcrux detector. It works very much like a metal detector. Except you download this app to your iPhone and then wave the phone over a given object, it cunningly reveals if the object is in fact a Horcrux! Or for its second feature... simply turn on the app and it will detect all Horcruxes within a 50m radius. We understand that Horcruxes stem from dark magic, but then the iPhone stems from Apple's technological excellence, so we're sure it could meet the challenge!
Our final suggestion would of course be a Voldermort tracker. This doesn't even require great technology, simply allow it to be updated with the last reported sightings of the Dark Wizard and Harry could keep a constant watch out for the deadliest of enemies. There is even room for expansion with another app, the Death Eater tracker. Working out the movements of these dark wizards would have greatly aided Harry on his quest to defeat them.
So if apple is ever struggling to think of some new apps, we have a great selection right here, of things we're surprised Harry Potter ever managed to live without! From defeating Dark Wizards, to playing a spot of Quidditch, you could always use an app for that!

Alexander Severus $81.25 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Marcus Aurelius Severus Alexander (October 1, 208March 18, 235 AD), commonly called Alexander Severus, was the last Roman emperor (11 March 222235) of the Severan dynasty. Alexander Severus succeeded his cousin, Elagabalus upon the latters assassination in 222 AD, and was ultimately assassinated himself, marking the epoch event for the Crisis of the Third Century nearly fifty years of disorder, Roman civil wars, economic chaos, regional rebellions, and external threats that brought the Empire to nearcollapse. Alexander Severus was the heir apparent to his cousin, the eighteenyearold Emperor who had been murdered along with his mother by his own guards and as a mark of contempt, had their remains cast into the Tiber river. He and his cousin were both grandsons of the influential and powerful Julia Maesa, who had arranged for Elagabalus acclamation as Emperor by the famed Third Gallic Legion. Septimius Severus $45.5 Septimius Severus, the African Emperor, was descended from Phoenician settlers in Tripolitania, and his reign, from AD 193-211, represents a turning point in Roman history. In his illuminating biography, Anthony R. Birley explores how "Roman" this man was and examines his remarkable background and career. Given that Septimius came from Lepcis Magna, an African city that prospered under Roman rule, Birley first explores what was African and what was Roman in his background. Birley then considers Septimius' career as a Roman Senator in the age of the Antonines, including his second marriage to Julia Domna which led to a conspiracy to overthrow the deranged emperor Commodus and the dramatic civil wars of 193-197. Finally, the reign of the victorious Septimius is well detailed. Well-illustrated and engaging, this biography reveals the multifaceted and sometimes conflicting character of an enigmatic and complex emperor. |
