San Diego is a beautiful place to go to with plenty of sights to see and lots activities and attractions for wandering tourists to fill their days exploring. In fact, when visiting it always seems as if there's just not enough time to enjoy everything that the city has to offer. There is much to enjoy-great food, fantastic nightlife and great music. But there is something else that San Diego is becoming famous for, and that would be the "fruit of the vine." Believe it or not, I'm talking about vineyards!
Although many travelers typically think of California's northern or central coast when they think of wine, San Diego is home to more than 20 wineries found all across the county. It would take the typical wine lover a lot of time to go through and see all of them. Among the wineries, there are more than a hundred different award-winning wines to choose from and, for connesuiors at least, all of them are memorable. With so different wineries, most visitors find that taking a tour not only makes it easy to go from vineyard to vineyard but also allows people to taste many premium wines along the way without the responsibility of driving.
Some of the Wine Tours in San Diego even lead guests through the Temecula Valley (also known as "prime wine country") in a luxurious limousine. It's an exciting way to spend the day exploring the vineyards that have made San Diego a leading competitor for the heart's of wine lovers everywhere. The tour guides are very friendly and are quite knowledgeable about the numerous available wines that San Diego has to offer. Most of the guides are also very knowledgeable about the location of each winery and what sort of wine they specialize in. Even so, travelers will enjoy speaking directly with the sommeliers at each location to get the real "behind-the-scenes" story of each vintage.
Aside from the limousine, tourists can choose from a variety of unusual modes of transportation such as a hummer or a party bus. Charter busses are also available for those on a limited budget or who don't want to spend as much on their wine tour. Most of the tours will last around four hours, so there will still be plenty of time to soak in the nightlife of San Diego when you return from your day trip.
