With the advent of the Russian Federation after the fall of the USSR, a big market for automakers has been born. It provides a very big opportunity for various car makers from all over the world. The Russian Market has been a growing market for Japanese carmakers and especially for Nissan. The Nissan brand is one of the five most imported cars in the Russian Federation. However especially the success of SUV's have been one of the major reasons why Nissan X - rail has become one of the most selling cars in the Russian Federation.
Especially in the last five years, SUV vehicles have become quite popular with the Russian elite. SUV type cars are especially suited to the road conditions and weather conditions in Russia. With the harsh winter conditions all over Russia, Luxury vehicle SUV's like Nissan X - trail will continue to be the leading choice vehicles in the Russian Market.
It has a good carrying capacity, which makes it ideal for traditionally large Russian families. Nissan X - TRail provides the best elegance possible in a used imported car. However the name Nissan is also responsible for the popularity of X - Trail in the imported used car market in the Russian Federation. Nissan has sold over 110 thousand cars in the year 2007 and this alone shows the interest the Russian public has on Nissan cars. Thus this success has caused Nissan to invest in the Russian federation with a new car plant which will begin its operation in the year 2009. In fact, this plant will also manufacture brand new Nissan X - Trail starting in the year 2009.
In any case, Nissan X - Trail continues to be leading choice in used imported cars in to Russia. In addition, the fact that the spare parts are found easily in the Russian market also creates an advantage for the Nissan X - Trail. Compared to other luxury style SUV's; Nissan X-Trail provides a more family like interior for the Russian market. Thus for many years to come, X - Trail will continue to lead the imported used car market in Russia.
Japanese used car [http://www.tradecarhub.com/index.php?page=models&make=8] has been proactively recommending such Nissan SUV for export as it proves to be one of the more reliable and durable used Japanese car in Russia.

Historians and political scientists have long been absorbed by these questions, yet none has systematically examined the crucial role played by patronclient relations. Using the career details of over two thousand national and regional officials, John Willerton traces the patronclient relations underlying recruitment, mobility and policymaking. USSR $18.94 Marx and Engels invented it; Lenin volunteered Russia for the honour of trying it; the Soviet people had to live with it.. This tongue-in-cheek travel guide is a cherishably witty insight into the chaotic, bewildering and sometimes scary society that resulted from this heroically doomed effort to "build Communism". It teaches you basic Soviet survival skills including how to queue for useless products, bribe your way into empty restaurants and contravene anti-alcohol measures. 'The authors' pen is driven not only by a blind hatred of socialism but also a genuine pathological medical condition.' Young Communists' Pravda (1986). 'In 1986 USSR was a prescient, hilarious and inspirational take on the evil empire. For Soviet totalitarianism ridicule was a deadly foe. To Polonsky and Taylor, the thanks of all those who were once captive and are now free.' Edward Lucas, International Editor, Economist |

The changes and transformations in three domains, i.e., cultural perception, self-identification, and attitudes to first language maintenance, are explored through the Acculturation Framework that allows bringing together these essential aspects of immigration. A separate look at Jewish and Russian ethnic groups within the so-called "Russian" immigration as well as its interdisciplinary nature sets this book apart from other studies on recent immigration from the former USSR. |

Broken Empire: After the Fall of the USSR $9.24 On December 25, 1991, at 7:35 p.m., soldiers lowered the red Soviet flag flying over the Kremlin and raised the Russian tri-color in its place. The moment passed without pomp or circumstance, resulting in a strangely muted end to a regime that had, in many ways, defined the 20th century. Christmas 2001 is the tenth anniversary of the demise of the Soviet Union. To commemorate the event, National Geographic presents a mesmerizing retrospective that captures all the turbulence of Russia' s new beginning. With 120 extraordinary photographs by Gerd Ludwig and incisive essays by Fen Montaigne, "Broken Empire captures Russia in all its complexity. The book examines not only the fledgling country' s notorious corruption and poverty--the only aspects of Russia covered by most Western media--but many lesser known facets, including the rise of a new urban generation committed to building a prosperous society. Taking us into the daily lives of Russians, from entrepreneurs to pensioners, "Broken Empire' s images and words come together to capture as no book ever has the poignant resilience of a country endeavoring to find a workable middle road between capitalism and state control. |

Russian Imperialism: Development and Crisis $38.99 The fall of the Soviet Union was one of the most dramatic events of this century. It was also one of the most surprising. Evidence of the USSR's impending fall was abundantly available both in theory in the writings on empires and on the ground. Yet, prior to its downfall, the very profession that specialized in the study of the Soviet Union held no consensus that the USSR "was" an empire to begin with. Perhaps because many Sovietologists neglected its status as an empire, most Americans were taken completely by surprise when the USSR began its precipitous collapse under Mikhail Gorbachev. This book subjects the Soviet Union as an empire to systematic scrutiny, using tools and methods at the disposal of modern political science. Foreign policy specialists, defense experts, and Russian area analysts will find this book essential. The book is also recommended for undergraduate and graduate courses in Russian and Soviet history and the study of empires. |

Russian Roots $23.41 This is an epic family history about refugees from Stalin's regime of terror. Full of historical detail on Russia and China, the story follows the flight of two families. One a prosperous clan of merchants, the other ambitious peasants; their lives entwine over many years. Their first destination is China, where the 'White Russians' preserve their culture in the volatile cosmopolitan city of Shanghai in the 1930's and 40's. Forced to flee Communism again after Mao's victory, they enjoy a tropical interlude in the Philippines before finding safer havens in Australia and America. The story comes full circle with the demise of the USSR and the rediscovery of family links that had been torn asunder. Rival political ideologies are explored unflinchingly and the story ends with hope for the future of the migrs' descendents. Most no longer consider themselves Russian but the history of their 'roots' remains a compelling story, not only for them, but for anyone fascinated with the past. |

A Distant Front in the Cold War: The USSR in West Africa and the Congo, 1956-1964 $61.45 "A Distant Front in the Cold War" reveals West Africa as a significant site of Cold War conflict in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Although the region avoided the extreme tensions of the standoff in Eastern Europe or in the Cuban missile crisis, it nevertheless offers a vivid example of political, economic, and propagandistic rivalry between the U.S. and the USSR. For Africa, this was a critical period characterized by decolonization and the formation of African countries' first foreign policies. The United States and the Soviet Union both hoped to win the sympathies of the newly established states, and Sergey Mazov's book is the first account of that competition, which the Soviet Union lost, largely through ignorance of the region. Mazov presents evidence from previously inaccessible or unknown documents in Russian and U.S. archives, as well as an international sampling of recent scholarly works. The rich historical account pays particular attention to the repercussions of Soviet West African experience on future Soviet foreign policy, especially in the Third World. |

Russian Chess Championship $92.4 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Russian Chess Championship has taken various forms throughout history. In 1874, Emanuel Schiffers defeated Andrey Chardin in a match held in St. Petersburg with five wins and four losses. Schiffers was considered the first Russian champion until his student, Mikhail Chigorin, defeated him in a match held in St. Petersburg in 1879. Chigorin won with seven wins, four losses, and two draws. In 1899 the format of the championship was changed to a roundrobin tournament known as the AllRussian Masters Tournament. After the formation of the USSR the USSR Chess Championship was established as the national championship. However the Russian championship continued to exist as the championship of the RSFSR. The first two USSR championships in 1920 and 1923 were also recognized as RSFSR championships; the modern numbering of Russian championships begins with these two tournaments. The cities Moscow and Leningrad held their own championships and their players were ineligible to play in the RSFSR championship. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Sirnov's late nineteenth-century account. Professor Fisher presents a detailed analysis of the culture and history of these people from the mid-fourteenth century to the present.
