When it is time for your daughter to upgrade to a "Big Girl's" bed, it may be a good time to let her go pink with one of the many girl canopy bed selections available on the consumer market currently. There are varying degrees of detail available and of course, the price will go up as you select more intricately meticulous models. The ultimate beds princess style beds will be made of solid wood or ornately formed metal, and are generally painted white with gold or pink accents embedded. The canopy can usually be taken off in the future, as she feels the need for more normal or classic style bed.
Canopy beds do not have to be for the little one trying to get her princess style rolling, as they also come in solid neutral colors, or antique wood stained models, and can be accented with red, blue or green gingham curtains instead of sheer pink batting. If you keep the frame and canopy a standard color, the interior theme of her bedroom can be changed over the years without much difficulty.
This form of child's bedding is not expensive and will usually fall in line with the prices of a twin or double bed that are accompanied with a solid wood head and foot board. If your husband is handy with woodworking tools, he can easily convert a standard bed frame into her fantasy bed, or restore an antique bed that you might find at an estate sale. There are specialty beds that will be over the top in design, and cost for others with more disposable income than most homeowners.
