Patterson Meet Olympic gold medalist Carly
Although Carly Rae Patterson was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, February 4, 1988, She now lives in Allen, Texas with his mother and sister. Carly is an incredibly accomplished athlete for her age. She is a former Olympic all around Champion for the United States 2004 Olympic team in Athens, Greece.
Due to injuries to his lower back, Carly is unfortunately not expected to make an appearance in women's gymnastics competition with Team USA 2008 Olympics. However, while Carly is one the world's most talented gymnasts, she has not always been on the road to greatness.
It was at a birthday party young cousin in 1994 that Carly real talent for gymnastics has been noticed by a coach in a gym. Carly cousin belonged to a gym that has hosted the birthday party. At that time, the coach saw the year and six former Carly tumbling around and immediately noticed his natural talent. Six years later, Carly participated in the tournament's Gym Top Belgium won the silver medal in the all round and bronze for beam equilibrium, which is probably Carly favorite event.
A year later, Carly participated in the Goodwill Games in Brisbane, Australia. It was not his best performance, although it ranks second in the all around competition before the last rotation. She has been ill during the event and eventually finish in seventh place. Despite a disappointing overall performance, his routine was nearly perfect beam and also know what would become his signature move, the "Patterson". This signature is a dual output of Oman, of the beam.
In 2002, Carly Patterson became the U.S. Junior National All-Around Champion and was considered one of the most important young female gymnasts at the time and made her a viable candidate for the 2004 Olympics All-Around title. After its completion in 2002, she won almost every competition she entered. Unfortunately, due to a broken elbow in 2003, Carly had to sit on the U.S. National Championship, but still won the all around silver medal World Championships of Gymnastics in Anaheim, California, making her the first American woman to achieve that feat since 1994. This has consolidate its position on the team's 2004 U.S. gymnastics.
During the 2004 Olympic Trials, Carly is not working at its best standards and had two falls during her balance beam routine, which dropped to third place. It is because of what she did not was automatically placed on the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team, but there is no doubt that she would end up competing in Athens that year.
Olympics Summer 2004, Carly Patterson proved how good she was, despite it already clear to the world. She and her teammates won the silver medal for team competition. During these events, Carly also won a silver medal on beam, which is entirely appropriate since it takes so much pride in every routine in the balance beam. In addition to winning two silver medals at these games, Carly has also set a record. She became the first American woman to win a medal gold in the all round for the Olympics participated fully. His performance at the 2004 Olympics have put Carly in the history books and open the way to a very exciting life.
Shortly after his great achievements in the Summer Olympics of 2004, doctors found several hard bulge in the lower back Carly. Because of this health problem she has been forced to reduce the amount of time spent gymnastics training, but he did not stop at another level. Carly continues to make appearances on talk shows, games and television and participate in autograph sessions and numerous interviews each year. In part because of his grueling schedule, Carly retired gymnastics in 2006 and will not be competing in the Summer Olympics of 2008, much to the disappointment of many fans of gymnastics. It will, however, be honored at the 2008 Games being inducted into the Hall of Fame USA Gymnastics.
Now that Carly has officially retired from the world of gymnastics, she continues to pursue many challenges. She recently served as ambassador of the American Dental Association (ADA) Youth Give Kids a Smile (GKAS) and Ambassador of the National Day of Children Dental Access. It is one of many athletes known to use its status as a positive way.
One of his current passions is her musical career. In 2005, she discussed her wishes to continue a career in music and announced that she would work on a demo. This demo has apparently paid off as she recently signed with the Music Mind Records and released his first single, "Temporary Life (Ordinary Girl)" at the end of March 2008. Carly also took the time to write a autobiography discussing his life as a young gymnast throughout her Olympic competition.

Olympic Dream $28.94 In a span of 81 days in 1978, Henry Rono broke four world records, committing the most ferocious assault on the track-and-field record books by a middle-distance runner in the history of the sport. This is what Henry Rono is known for. However, it is not who Henry Rono is. Henry Rono was born a poor Nandi in Kenya's Rift Valley. After an accident when he was two, doctors believed he would never again walk. This would be the first of countless obstacles Rono would have to overcome in order to pursue his two life goals: to first become the greatest runner in the world and then to become the best teacher he could be. Rono's first goal was accomplished in 1978, when he was considered not only the greatest track-and-field athlete in the world, but also by many to be the world's greatest athlete period. His second and greater goal, to become a teacher, was longer and more difficult in coming. Once Rono became a star, coaches, agents, meet directors, as well as the corrupt Kenyan athletic officials (whose boycotts of the 1976 and 1980 Olympics turned Rono's dreams of Olympic gold into Olympic smoke rings), wanted him to serve as their personal moneymaker, and so they did everything they could to discourage Rono's pursuit of an education and dream of teaching. The corruption and discouragement Rono encountered, as well as his alienation and exile from his homeland and family, pushed him to 20 years of alcoholism and even occasional homelessness. However, Rono never quit during a race-and through sheer persistence, he pulled himself from years of destitution to become a fulltime teacher who is currently pursuing a graduate degree in special education. This is the life story of Henry Rono, whosedescent from triumph to abyss, and whose subsequent ascent from abyss to triumph, are perhaps steeper than those of any track-and field athlete in history. |
