Almost everyone around the world is asking what a coin is worth. Sometimes they are taken for granted because based on the current situation of the economy, loose change can't buy anything substantial. Well, people just cant get the idea of certain coins and their importance. If you don't have some loose pocket change to start with, can you have a hundred bucks? Hundreds, thousands and millions of bucks can never be reached if you do not start from the lowest which are coins.
Selling coins is a very popular business at this point in time. Because there are some collectors, especially of old coins, who are ready to pay even the highest amount you can imagine on just one special token. Rich collectors just won't stop investing even on the oldest coins available just to have satisfaction with their hobbies but we can't blame them for that.
If you check online there are a lot of shops that are buying and selling coins. The dollar amount of a coin depends on many various factors. Old coins are being considered as artifacts for historians, and the oldest coins are also contemplated as a treasure.
Three Elements That Make a Coin Very Valuable
1. Scarcity: If a coin is very rare, then, its price can reach up to a fortune depending how rare it is. For example, a 1876 Indian head centavo can worth a couple of hundred bucks. On the other hand, a 1905 coin can worth only up to a dollar and a half.
2. Condition: The nicer the coin looks, the higher the price of it can range. Sometimes, selling coins which are not circulated can be worth up to thousands of dollars but if it is already worn out, it may only cost half of the nicer appearing ones.
3. Demand: As we have already mentioned, there are a lot of coin collectors all over the world. They are bidding for coins that are very rare. They are ready to spend and be the highest bidder just to own the old coins. Selling coins has a very high demand from the consumers and eventually provides good income.
Business Strategy
If you want to be in the old coin business, which is a very high income line of work, it will be best if you research the products and have the right knowledge about their age and prices before entering this industry. Always remember that there are a lot of people who are taking the advantage of a person lacking of perception.
Another great thing that you can do to have extra income is to post your ads on the internet so that a lot of people can see your products. They will definitely get interested with the coins depending on their different interests. Selling coins is definitely one excellent idea of earning money online. Just make sure that all your products are genuine so that your clients will trust your collectibles.
A great way to earn money is to sell silver. You will be shocked at just how much money you can bring in just by simply selling silver coins.

Fifty Pence (British Coin) $111.53 The British decimal fifty pence (50p) coin often pronounced fifty pee was issued on 14 October 1969 in the runup to decimalisation to replace the ten shilling note. Despite the coins novel shape, there was initial confusion amongst some members of the public, with the coin being mistaken for both the old half crown and the new ten pence piece. The coin is minted from an alloy of 75 copper and 25 nickel. Between 1969 and 1997 the coin weighed 13.50 grams and had a diameter of 30.0 millimetres. In 1997 the coin was reduced in size to weigh 8.00 grams with a diameter of 27.3 millimetres. Apart from the reduction in size the design remained essentially the same (although the original is no longer legal tender). The coin is not circular but is an equilaterally curved heptagon to aid identification. The sides are not straight but are curved so that the centre of curvature is the opposite apex of the coin. In other words, whilst the coin is of a shape which doesnt have a fixed radius about any point, it does have a fixed diameter as a minimum dimension across the face of the coin. The Alchemists Coin $5.99 Jane Weston, resurrection of the lost Druid race, has lost her best friend's soul to the dragon of the Celtic underworld. Her brother, Jack, has inadvertently stumbled into a power that allows him to become magical as he drains the life from the girl he loves. He can't touch her, hold her hand, or kiss her without killing her slowly. Jane, hunting for the elusive, yet pervasive alchemist, Ulrich O'Connor, finds that the only man on earth who can help them is a four-year-old boy. He leads her to Connor, a disturbingly attractive, teenage highlander, and Julien, a charming and brilliant French university student, all protgs of Ulrich O'Connor, the Elder. In an odyssey abroad, they teach her all she would ever need to know to steal a soul from hell and manipulate the delicate balances of Light and Dark that hover on paradox. They crimp a few of her straight laces, smudge her sharp lines of black and white, wrinkle the fabric of her neatly pressed universe, awaken her vagabond soul to the power it holds and, between the four of them, twist the faces of her love into all of its complex shapes. To steal her friend's soul from the Dragon of Annwyn, Jane will have to deceive the dark princess of the Tuathan, Maeve, and then risk her own soul with only four-year-old Ulrich to guard the coveted power of its crystal. What she doesn't know about the boys, who have risked their lives to save her, could cost Jane something more precious than her soul. But in the magic of paradox, to win, you must lose. |

Coin Street Chronicles: Memoirs of an Evacuee from London's Old South Bank $21.37 In January 1929, in a grimy, working-class neighborhood on the south bank of the Thames, Eileen Gwynneth Yvonne Redfern was born. From her inauspicious beginning as the unwelcome third occupant of Old Ma Tanner's one-room apartment on Coin Street to an eighteen-year-old on the brink of university life, author Gwen Southgate weaves a fascinating story of a vanished time and a way of life on London's old south bank. In this memoir, telling tales of the 1930s and 1940s, Gwen provides a glimpse into a broader tapestry portraying the sweep of life in Britain as seen through the eyes of a young girl. Among its many colorful and lively characters are the big-hearted, chain-smoking Aunt-mum; yarn-spinning, practical joker Grampa Benson; and Gwen's feisty, much-married mother. After a wartime evacuation from London opens wider horizons, Gwen shares how she managed to survive in a world where the mere stealing of a spoonful of rice pudding could lead to dire consequences and even the enjoyment of a Sunday walk was condemned as sinful. "Coin Street Chronicles" paints a vivid and captivating portrait of Britain and her people before, during, and after World War II. |

Threepence (British Coin) $95.59 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The threepence or thrupenny bit was a denomination of currency used by various jurisdictions in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, until decimalisation of the pound sterling and Irish pound in 1971. It was also used in some parts of the British Empire (later known as the Commonwealth), notably Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Before decimalisation brought about a new currency with new coinage, the sum of three pence was pronounced variously THROOPence THREPPence or THRUPPence reflecting different pronunciations in the various regions of Great Britain. Likewise, the coin was usually referred to in conversation as a THROOPnee THREPPnee or THRUPPnee bit. The three pence coin expressed in writing as 3d first appeared in England during the fine silver coinage of King Edward VI (15471553), when it formed part of a set of new denominations. Although it was an easy denomination to work with in the context of the old sterling coinage system, being a quarter of a shilling, initially it was not popular with the public who preferred the groat (four pence). Hence the coin was not minted in the following two reigns. Author: Miller, Frederic P./ Vandome, Agnes F./ McBrewster, John Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 114 Publication Date: 2010/11/28 Language: English Dimensions: 6.00 x 9.02 x 0.27 inches |

Romano-British Coin Hoards $14.03 Britain's visible Roman remains are lacking in impressive monuments such as the temples, arches and amphitheatres found in France and Italy. Yet the best testament to Britain's participation in Graeco-Roman civilisation is its 'hidden' monuments: spectacular hoards of household valuables such as jewellery, precious-metal table utensils or decorations and also the concern of this book rich hoards of gold, silver and bronze coins. Many such hoards are hidden no longer, as visits to numerous museums will quickly show. This book provides an introduction to Romano-British coin hoards and places major discoveries, new and old, in the story of the Roman monetary system in Britannia. |

Africa: Another Side of the Coin $45 Africa is a lost cause.' This is a cynical view held widely in the West, in much of the world and even in Africa. Many people in the old European colonial powers - and not only the dwindling band of 'old Africa hands' who served in the colonies - are in despair, lamenting maladministration, corruption, civil and inter-state wars, poverty, famine and the seemingly unstoppable march of AIDS. And all in a great continent with abundant human and natural resources. The other side of the coin is that hope is beginning to dawn as Africa's plight is recognised by the Africans themselves and its vital strategic, political and economic importance in the age of globalisation is gaining universal appreciation. An 'African renaissance' may seem far-fetched but there is perhaps light at the end of the tunnel. This is the backdrop against which Andrew Sardanis's fascinating story is set. It begins with his work as a journalist in Cyprus - on the receiving end of British colonialism - and moves to Northern Rhodesia where he played a leading role as an international businessman and in the politics of independence leading to the new nation of Zambia. He was at the heart of Zambia's political and business development, and always a sympathetic but critical observer and adviser, both in government and in business, also a close but objective friend of leaders including Kenneth Kaunda. |

Coin Street Chronicles: London's Vanished Old South Bank $3.94 "Coin Street Chronicles" is a tale of real-life drama set in the 1930s and 1940s, on London's South Bank area-now a cultural showcase, but then a grimy, raucous underbelly of the city. Among its many colorful characters are big-hearted, garrulous, chain-smoking Aunt-mum; yarn-spinning, practical joker Grampa Benson; and Gwen Southgate's unsquelchable, much-married, and perhaps bigamous, mother. The scene changes during World War II, when evacuation from London at the age of ten opens up wider horizons for Gwen Southgate and her two younger brothers. The story follows her subsequent journeying around England and Wales as she learns to live with the different foibles of many families and encounters bewildering incidents like The Rice Pudding Affair and The Sinfulness of Enjoying a Sunday Walk. The memoir ends as she, finally, escapes the culture of poverty-after a determined struggle spearheaded by her feisty mother. |
