Hollywood

As a way to accomodate all of the many tourists that travel here, it is no surprise that Hollywood offers many places to lodge. For those who are coming to Hollywood as sort of a tourist "mecca", many budget-friendly lodging will be available. Two hotels that are helping you keep your costs down are the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel and the Best Western  Hollywood Hills Hotel. Both of these hotels offer decent rooms at a great price. These hotels along with many others are close to many of the great tourist attractions around the area, including Universal Studios. By lodging in Hollywood, you will truly be in the thick of the action and in the know. Maybe you'll be in town when a movie is premiering and you'll get to see some famous movie stars!
Pasadena

If the hustle and bustle of urban LA is too much for you, head over to Pasadena, which sits at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. This great city offers some of the best lodging options around the LA area. To get only the best, you'll have to make a reservation at The Langham Huntington, where you'll be surrounded by elegant style. Another great option is the Pasadena Hotel, also offering top-notch amenities and great service. Following the rustic feel of the mountains the Artist's Inn and the Bissel House are two bed and breakfasts where you'll receive personalized luzury and service in a bed and breakfast setting.
Santa Monica

Imagine the ocean waves lulling you to sleep each night. Also, imagine being close to great shopping and high-class recreation. Either way, Santa Monica will provide you with full service and never-ending fun. If your pockets reach the bottom of the sea, three hotels will truly give you a luxurious experience. The Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, the Fairmont Miramar, and the ultra-luxurious Shutters on the Beach, all three located within walking distance of all of Santa Monica's wonders, both natural and man-made, and offer the full royal treatment. West Hollywood

For those travelers who love being involved in the night life, West Hollywood is the perfect place to catch all of the action. Here, you'll be in the center of LA's star-studded night life, and within walking distance of all the hottest clubs. The Chateau Marmont, the Mondrian, and the Sunset Tower Hotel all offer accomodations fit for royalty, but you'll see a bill to match. For a little bit more affodability, the Hyatt and the rock-n-roll atmosphere of the Standard Hotel offer great rooms at a considerably less price point than their neighbors. Sunset Boulevard is lined with hotels, so wherever you choose you'll be close to the action and the excitement of true LA partying.
Westwood

If you are coming to LA to see a college game at UCLA, you've got to stay in Westwood. Here, you'll also be close to all of the great bars, retaurants, and entertainment. This is also an area where you'll find some of the best accomodations at the most reasonable prices. The Hilgard House is an upscale hotel, but still won't cause you to break the bank, while the W Los Angeles is a popular choice that features world-class service and comfort.

Wherever you choose to stay in LA, make sure that you make the trip worth you while. It doesn't do much good to book a hotel room that may have a cheap price tag, but is far away from everything you've planned to do.
