Design

The Sony Ericsson Idou (which may well get a further name change before hitting UK markets) is a miniature phone with dimensions of 111 x 54 x 15 mm. The Samsung Omnia HD which is now known on its release as the Samsung i8910 HD is a slightly larger phone with a vital statistics of 123 x 58 x 12.9 mm. The Sony Idou has a TFT touch screen that is quite massive- it is 3.5 inches wide. The screen supports 16M colors and has a high resolution of 360X640 pixels for great image quality. The screen has an accelerometer. The Samsung i8910 Omnia HD has an AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 16M colors. It also has a resolution of 360X640 pixels, but is 3.7 inches wide. The screen is enabled with not only an accelerometer sensor but also a proximity sensor.

Camera

The Sony Ericsson Idou being a camera phone, its highlight is its 12 Mega pixel camera. The camera boasts of an immense resolution of 4000X3000 pixels for fabulous photographs. It is loaded with picture enhancement features like auto focus and face and smile detection. The camera has both an LED and Xenon flash so as to enable you to take brilliant pictures even in dark conditions; it is enabled with Geo tagging feature which allows tagging photos based on the location where they were taken. The Sony Idou has HSCSD, EDGE and high speed 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and Wi Fi technologies to uplift your mobile internet experience and boost internet connectivity speeds. Its browser supports wap, html and RSS reader for pleasurable browsing. The Samsung i8910 HD features EDGE, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and Wi Fi technologies for faster internet connectivity. Both the Idou and the i8910 HD have GPRS support including A-GPS technology.
