In this article I want to show you how some simple and creative uses of your imagination can give you a boost to your self esteem and lift your mood and help you feel more positive.

Remember how as a child you could easily use your imagination? You probably remember having magical powers and every day items had some magical powers that allowed you to do amazing things. Well, here are some tips to help you tap back into that childlike imagination (notice I did NOT say "childish") and lift your spirits, while improving things about yourself.

Often children are discouraged from daydreaming and using their imaginations so I am giving you permission to tap back into that well spring of creative power that are inside your mind. You will have your feet planted firmly in the ground, while your head can lift off into imagining the possibilities...

So now that you know that you are allowed to use your childlike imagination you can either find your favorite hat ( anything you wear or carry with you will do the trick ) and let the hat lift your spirit and your mood--chose one that fits you well, looks good and most of all makes you feel really good. It can have a design or logo symbolizing something you enjoy doing or it can just be your favorite color or it just makes you feel good when you see it or wear it.

Sure some of you may say this is "just" pop psychology, however with enough imagination you can CHARGE the hat as if it did in fact have some magical properties--as long as you know we are just playing with our imaginations this is fine.

The hat is not a "magic bullet" and will not stop bullets or make you invisible, invincible or irresistible, however as you improve yourself ( boundaries, balance, sense of humor, self esteem, etc. ) you will be feeling better about yourself and other people will feel this and start treating you better, too.

So you go first (Army RANGERS have a saying "Lead the Way" and You Go First!) and by learning to accept yourself more easily and deeply, other people will follow your lead.

Respect starts with SELF Respect!

The less you criticize yourself and others, the more comfortable you will feel and the better people will feel around you. The hat is simply something you enjoy wearing which seems to lift your mood because we have used it to become a point of focus of your good qualities and the fact that you are doing your best to improve the things that you can change.

Of course, using deeper trance ( prime hypnosis ) makes this seem much more real and powerful, however simply by following the tips in this article and relaxing your mind and body by slowing down your breathing, you can get excellent results. A sort of a mild and pleasant trance state may help you lift your mood, too. Three or four times a day you may just recall something funny that makes you feel good and warm inside...your mind and body will start to work as a team to help you feel more and more positive...

And even if the last few sentence of this article are particularly hypnotic and may just help you reach that pleasant dreamy state we are looking for to make this Hat technique even more powerful...well that will be just fine, will it not...as you notice your life becoming more positive as your thoughts become more positive and useful and helpful and you do not have to breath, relax and...

...Imagine yourself in various situations feeling more comfortable and relaxed and with a REAL smile on your face ( while wearing the hat )

...and notice how your mental rehearsal makes it easier for your REAL life to take on the same positive balance.

Just knowing you can wear your hat or that you have the hat in your bag or briefcase can help you to feel more secure and remind you to keep working on improving yourself in any way possible and that there are more possibilities than you ever imagined possible...

Head - $14.99 The Monkees -- Micky Dolenz, Mike Nesmith, Davy Jones and Peter Tork -- didn't really enjoy being labelled the Prefab Four back when their TV series was all the rage in 1966. With the help and support of Bob Rafaelson (co-producer, co-writer and director) and Jack Nicholson (co-producer, co-writer, and, if you look closely, bit player), the Monkees expressed their displeasure over being packaged for popular consumption in the non sequitur masterpiece Head. At least, it seems that the film is an indictment of the merchandising of pop stars. It's hard to tell at times, because Head literally has no plot; it is instead a patchwork of loopy sight gags, instant parodies, "camp" cutups, musical numbers and wry inside jokes.
