Hair Fall
Hair fall also known hair loss. Hair is made of a type of protein called keratin. Hair is actually a modified type of skin. Hair grows by forming new cells at the base of the root. These cells multiply to form a rod of tissue in the skin. Hair fall usually develops gradually and may be patchy or diffuse. Many number of things can cause excessive hair fall. Hormonal problems may cause hair loss. Hair fall may occur if male or female hormones, known as androgens and estrogens, are out of balance. Some medicines can cause hair fall. Medicines that can cause hair fall include blood thinners (also called anticoagulants), medicines used for gout, medicines used in chemotherapy to treat cancer, vitamin A birth control pills and antidepressants.
Certain infections can cause hair fall. Fungal infections of the scalp can cause hair fall in children. A fungus called ringworm on their scalp might lose their hair. Poor eating can contribute to hair fall. Alopecia areata also causes of hair fall. It also runs in some families. In 95 out of 100 cases of alopecia areata, the hair grows back completely. Medicines may also help slow or prevent the development of common hair fall. One medicine, minoxidil is available without a prescription. Eating a balanced, healthy diet is important for a lot of reasons, and it really benefits your hair. Wash your hair twice a week. Don't apply conditioner or oil to your scalp if your scalp is oily. Condition just hair strands once a week.
