Remembering dates is sometimes difficult. Many teachers lesson plans have students learning dates of important events in History. Students in History class have to remember those dates on tests. Using abstract concept will help them remember those important dates in History. Abstract concept is where you turn information you need to learn into pictures to help recall information. This concept of using pictures to help recall important dates is easy and fun to do.
Dates are hard to remember but pictures are not and some pictures can be fun to imagine.
Example: You are studying about George Washington the first President of the United States of America. The question on the History test is "What year was George Washington born?". To help you remember that George Washington was born in the year 1732, you will use the abstract concept to help you recall the information for the test, by turning the information of 1732 into a picture. Break the date apart in sections 17 and 32. Seventeen reminds you of the 17 magazine, and 32 reminds you of Sweet 16 Birthday times 2. The visual picture would be you reading your 17 magazine at the lunch table at school on your 16th birthday and two of the hottest boys in school come up to you and kiss you on the cheek, one on each side and their names are not George or Washington. This picture you created in your mind is a fun way to help you remember the year George Washington was born.
