At this time, Sony made a move. The offering price of $299 undoubtedly gave the game market and game players a needle of "tonic". The price superiority of $100 was an utmost stimulus both for the sellers and the players, which made it understandable for the hot sale. Sony mainfest its advantages not only in the Play Station itself,but also in the selling part. PS whose conducting fuction was much stonger than SS in 1995 when 3D has been the major tendency. With the edge of light processing and game mapping, PS made SS feel humbled. The 12 game demos attached even added more glamour to PS's functions. As for the policies towards the third-party game manufacturer, Sony also made itself easy to approach. Sony was neither arrogant nor harshly at all as Nintendo and Sega. Equipped with the advanced operating system, PS also made it easy to develop games. At that moment, more and more software company join Sony camp.Small companies followes Sony too, So Nintenolo and SEGA were seem too high-minded to be popular by contrast. With the entrance of Square Enix, Final Fantasy series was annoucedly occupied by PS only, which remarked the end of war of the first sub-century. Naturally, PS was the winner finally.
While PS has integreted the market,Nintendo and SEGA soon faded to history.After that, Nintendo merely was supporeted by Handheld game console. Until WII was born, NGC failed completely by the PS2 started to retreat .However, SEGA Dreamcastof was defeated by PS in the end times once more,which haD to become a pure software software. We can say that PS has made a huge conrtibution to Sony,owning the high status in the electronical game field,and become a outstanding main engine in the history of the electronical games.
