The preseason is officially more than halfway done now. In their third preseason game with the Chiefs, the Eagles were a tale of two teams. We saw a defense who looked like they could be the best in the league, then a defense who looked terrible. The Eagles never looked stellar on offense, but there were some good things that took place.

I plan on breaking the game down in more detail, but for those who missed the game or parts of it, here are some of the high(low)lights from the game.

First Quarter
First play of the game, Jamaal Charles fumbles the ball and Trent Cole recovers. Fumble was not forced, mistake was on Charles.

Michael Vick in on second offensive snap of game to hand off to LeSean McCoy who runs for 18 yard touchdown. Run was right behind Todd Herremans.

On Chiefs second offensive series, Stewart Bradley has a nice knockdown on a third and seven play.

DeSean Jackson left the game as the offense came on for their second series (upper back injury). Jason Avant filled in for Jackson.

Kolb took a big hit on a sack on the first play of this series; no one picked up the blitzing defender.

Trevard Lindley filled in for Ellis Hobbs. He recorded an interception on a deflected ball on the Chiefs third offensive possession.

Eagles go for it on fourth and one, run Leonard Weaver up the middle to convert for a first down.

On a play where Kolb got swallowed by the pocket, he some how emerged from the pack and scrambled for a first down on third and seven.

On a third and nine inside the 20, Peters jumps offsides. Kolb throws an incomplete pass on the next play as the Eagles settle for a David Akers field goal.

Second Quarter
Kevin Kolb threw a great looking deep ball on the first thrid down of the second half that went right through Jeremy Maclin's hands.

On a third and two, the Chiefs tried to go in a hurry up and Matt Cassel went on a sneak up the middle and was stuffed by the Eagles defense.

Trent Cole left the field with a noticeable limp as the Chiefs started to put a drive together.

On a swing pass to Dexter McCluster around the 10 yard line, Asante Samuel came up and put down a Sheldon Brown on Reggie Bush type hit. Yes, I said Asante Samuel.

The Chiefs were able to score on a long drive that was made possible on a penalty on a Chiefs punt that allowed their drive to continue.

Trent Cole was shown leaving the field on the car with three minutes remaining in the first half.

After the Chiefs touchdown, Quintin Demps took the ensuing kickoff all the way down to the 50 yard line.

Mike McGlynn went down just before the two minute warning. AQ Shipley entered the game in his absence.

The Eagles defense allowed the Chiefs to put a drive together before the half ended. They started on their own 10 and would have been able to get a field goal out of the drive, but had a long play called back on a penalty.
