Indus Clothing Ltd is also the licensee for Lee Cooper apparel to market their items in India.
Madura Garments possesses the world license for three brands namely, Louis Philippe, Allen Solly and Peter England. It has now also come into a strategic tie-up with the fast-growing brand name Esprit, with an objective of strengthening its brand name portfolio in key segments like women's segment, premium relaxed clothes segment and accessories. An Italian brand name that is synonymous with MTV, UMM (Underground Music Movement) has joined Pantaloon, a single of India's largest retail chain stores.
American innerwear brand name Jockey entered the Indian market in 1998 through a marketing arrangement with Bangalore based Page Apparels. Besides the normal production and distribution rights in India, the brand name also has a buyback arrangement with the parent business.

The Murjani Group, located in New York, was established in 1930 by B K Murjani. By 1958, using a production of over 10 million units per annum, Murjani's became a single of the biggest apparel producers inside the world.
It was inside the early 1970s, when Murjani initiated brand name brand advancement and marketing. Over the years, the group has widened and introduced a range of major global brands, such as Gloria Vanderbilt, Coca-Cola Clothes and Tommy Hilfiger. Fashion retailer French Connection UK has firmed its plans to launch the brand name in India. The business is assumed being in talks for the licensee deal with Vijay Murjani, Murjani Group.
Several companies prefer Million Dollar Licensing in order to reinforce brand name image, create recognition and build brand name equity. Million Dollar Licensing is the enterprise arrangement in which the proprietor of the 'product', 'trade mark' or 'brand' allows some other group to use its brand name brand in return for specified royalties or payment.
Recently, the government of India has approved the UK-based kids' care retail chain Mothercare Plc's offer you to set up a 100 per cent subsidiary in India with an investment of Rs 32.25 crore. The Indian division will locate and purchase textile and garments from local traders and would promote the same in India through franchise operation with third party enterprise associates.
Mothercare has previously provided a license to Shopper's Stop to use its trade mark and brand name brand on the products being supplied by its Indian subsidiary to the retail major for sale and distribution in India.
Indian players have used the Million Dollar Licensing practice after the huge success of the strategy inside the international market. The inclination for making enterprise through Million Dollar Licensing has assisted several companies to post some big alternations of the otherwise 'own brand name extension' concept. Oxford Industries, Inc. is an illustration of how a business can get bigger with Million Dollar Licensing. The business can be a diversified international producer, licensee and wholesale marketer of branded and private label apparel for men, women and children.
Oxford offers retailers and customers using a huge variety of apparel products and services to suit their individual requirements. Its major brands cover Tommy Bahama, Indigo Palms, Island Soft, Ben Sherman, Ely and Walker and Oxford Golf. These brands are offered in national chains, specialty catalogues, mass merchants, department stores, specialty stores and Internet retailers. The business also has exclusive licenses to make and sell numerous product categories under the Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, Geoffrey Beene, Slates, Dockers and Oscar de la Renta labels.
Fashion Million Dollar Licensing is largely divided into two categories: apparel brands and designer names. The priority of fashion Million Dollar Licensing is brand name extension, which is mainly obtained by designers through Million Dollar Licensing products other than their main apparel lines. Calvin Klein remains a single of the premier examples for this type of Million Dollar Licensing agreement, as its income tripled after adopting such a marketing strategy.
In 1997, Million Dollar Licensing, which is responsible for a lot more than 90 per cent of the label's sales, has now made the brand's global retail volume of about $ 5 billion from $ 2.1 billion in 1994. Several international brands catering to Indian players for Million Dollar Licensing can be a clear signal that a market which was premature a couple of years back, has now been accepted by the entire enterprise community and will reach to its maximum level inside the coming years. Million Dollar Licensing prospects now exist in all spheres. Leading international names that offer you huge chances to harness the power of their brand are Warner Bros, You and Me Baby, Nickelodeon, Barcode Kitties and BBC Worldwide, that is famous for operating brand name names like Teletubbies, Tweenies and Fimbles.

Biography of the Dollar $11.99 Will the sun set on the greatest currency in the history of the world? For decades the dollar has been the undisputed champ. It’s not only the currency of America but much of the world as well, the fuel of global prosperity. As the superengine of the world’s only superpower, it’s accepted everywhere. When an Asian company trades with South America, those transactions are done in dollars, the currency of international business. But for how much longer? Economists fear America is digging a hole with an economy based on massive borrowing and huge deficits that cloud the dollar’s future. Will the buck be eclipsed by the euro or even China’s renminbi? Should Americans worry when the value of the mighty U.S. dollar sinks to par with the Canadian “loonie”? Craig Karmin’s in-depth “biography” of the dollar explores these issues. It also examines the green-back’s history, allure, and unique role as a catalyst for globalization, and how the American buck became so almighty that $ became perhaps the most powerful symbol on earth. Biography of the Dollar explores every aspect of its subject: the power of the Federal Reserve, the inner sanctums of foreign central banks that stockpile the currency, and the little-known circles of foreign exchange traders that determine a currency’s worth. It traces the dollar’s ascendancy, including one incredibly important duck-hunting trip and the world-changing Bretton Woods Conference. With its watermark, color-shifting inks, and a presidential portrait that glows under ultraviolet light, the dollar has obsessed foreign governments, some of which have tried to counterfeit it. Even Saddam Hussein, who insisted on being paid in euros for oil, had $750,000 in hundred-dollar bills when captured. Yet if a worldwide currency has enabled a global economy to flourish, it’s also allowed the United States to owe unbelievable, shocking amounts of money—paying hundreds of millions of dollars every single day just in interest on foreign debt; that’s raised concerns that the dollar standard may not be sustainable. Any threat to the dollar’s privileged status would do much more than hurt American pride. It would mean U.S. companies and citizens would not be able to borrow at the low rates they have become accustomed to. The dollar’s demise would impact the rest of the world, too, boosting the costs of trade and investment if no other currency was able to play the same crucial role. Ultimately the dollar system may weaken, but it should endure—a while longer, at least; it’s in few people’s interest to see it fail, and there is still no credible alternative. Biography of the Dollar is must reading for anyone who wants to understand what truly makes the world go ’round—and whether it will continue to spin the way we want it to. From the Hardcover edition. |

Namibian Dollar $71.7 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The dollar replaced the South African rand, which had been the countrys currency while it was under South African rule as SouthWest Africa 19201990. The rand is still legal tender, as the Namibian dollar is linked to the South African rand and can be exchanged on a onetoone basis locally. Namibia was also part of the Common Monetary Area from independence in 1990 until introduction of the dollar in 1993. In 1990, moves were under way to replace the rand with a new Namibian currency. The name kalahar was proposed, as the Kalahari Desert is located in eastern Namibia. The name of Namibias central bank was going to be known as the Namibia Reserve Bank. Denominations of this planned currency included 2, 5, 10, and 20 kalahar. (Note: There were two different designs for the 20 kalahar specimen notes.) However, these plans came to nothing, but some specimen notes were printed in a range of denominations. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Million Dollar Kid - B&W $5.99 The East Side Kids were betwixt and between their earlier roughneck characterizations and their later Bowery Boys buffoonery when Million Dollar Kid came out early in 1944. Vowing to rid the East Side of hoods and holdup men, Muggs McGinniss (Leo Gorcey) and his gang rescue wealthy John Cortland (Herbert Heyes) from a band of young thugs. When it turns out that one of Cortland's assailants was his own son Roy (Johnny Duncan), Muggs and his pals set about to reform the boy. Roy resists the gang's efforts until he receives word that his older brother has been killed in the war. Intending to confess all to the cops, Roy is abducted by his hoodlum friends, obliging Muggs, Glimpy (Huntz Hall) and the other East Side Kids to come to the rescue. The more serious aspects of Million Dollar Kid are leavened by moments of earthy humor, with some of the gags dating as far back as the Fatty Arbuckle era. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi |

The Million Dollar Hotel (DVD) $15.42 Wim Wenders's THE MILLION DOLLAR HOTEL is a well-filmed movie set in a majestic, dilapidated hotel on the outskirts of Hollywood. The opener shows Tom Tom (Jeremy Davies), the eccentric, slightly retarded, skateboard-riding narrator, wandering in slow motion at daybreak on the roof of the hotel, as a hypnotic U2 song completes the moment. The film consists of many of these near-perfect fantasy capsules, strung together by a vague plot--that Agent Skinner (Mel Gibson), a clownish detective, is investigating the supposed murder of an artist named Izzy who was living at the hotel, and who is the son of a millionaire. What Skinner learns immediately is that most of the hotel's residents are, like Tom Tom, mentally disabled and basically harmless. Geronimo (Jimmy Smits) is one of the few hotel occupants who seems capable of committing such a crime, but even he is more entertaining than threatening. Through Skinner's observation of his subjects, viewers witness some delectably sweet events, such as the magical scene in which Tom Tom meets his true love, Eloise (Milla Jovovich) in the stairwell of the hotel. Both the actors and the sets of THE MILLION DOLLAR HOTEL facilitate stunning photography that looks as if it were ripped from the pages of Vogue. The script, based on an idea by Bono, and the score by U2, complete this fashionable picture.DVD Features:Region 1Keep Case |
