Before we go to platinum bullion mintage, let me explain what a mintage means. A mintage means a number of coins specific denominations struck in a given year. This word usually applies to all coins regardless to their metal composition and some are what have been called collector coins.
One of the platinum bullion mintage is the platinum Eagle coins. Usually the mintage coins either platinum, silver or gold has their own regular versions of coins in all denominations, proof version of the coins in all denomination and as well as the collectible uncirculated versions of the coins in all denominations.
Figures are marked with asterisk and the numbers are based on recent sales data. Some is with unaudited US mint sales data where in it differs from the final figures when released by the US mint.
For the collector coins, it is available in 4 coins sets where in the number of the coins sold in the set is reflected in individual mintage data. Example in the 2007 half ounce, the proof platinum eagle number includes sales figures which is the 10th anniversary platinum eagle set but that is stated separately.
In regards for the 2009 proof of platinum eagle, this was on sale December 2009, 03 where in each coins contains 1 ounce of .9995 platinum and struck in proof quality as well.
It has a design of emblematic principle "To Form a More Perfect Union", the reverse features which has depicting 4 faces of diversity with hair and clothing and weaving together. The coins representing the beginning of a new 6 years series designs for the collectible platinum eagle, which features the core concepts of American democracy which is stated in the preamble of the U.S constitution.
Last 2009, the U.S mint stopped accepting orders for the 2009 American Platinum Eagle Proof Coin since they only served to 8,000 coin maximum authorized mintage.
Here are a list of some of the mintage platinum coins:
- 1998 Platinum Canada Maple Leaf 1 oz 1 oz Coin
- 2002 Platinum Eagles $10 Coin ICG MS70
- 2003 1 20 0z Panda Platinum Coin
- 2006 Eagle Platinum $25 Coin NGC MS70
- 2006 1 2 oz American Eagle Platinum Proof $50 Coin
- 2006 $10 Platinum Eagle PCGS MS69 First Strike 2 Coins
- 2007 W Platinum $50 3 Coin Eagle Set PCGS Proof MS 69
- 2007 American Eagle 10th Anniversary Platinum Coin Set
Now, the coin trading, buying and selling has been the latest trend in the investment when it regards to platinum coins. Take note that selling a platinum mintage can be a lot of tricky and risky especially if you have no knowledge or idea on it.
When you want to buy a platinum bullion mintage, be sure you know the worth of it, how old the platinum coins, its rarity and quality as well of the coins but if ever you have a wide knowledge on it, then there is no problem.
You can also compare the price online, there is nothing wrong in comparing the price of the mintage of platinum bullion but always see to it that you know the current price in the market, which is important.
You can find out the current price of different platinum bullion mintage coins on specialty websites. Shopping online for your platinum coins makes much more sense than visiting your local coin dealer.
