50 Cent was born in Queens, New in the late '70s. 50 Cent lost his father at an early age and was only raised by his mother, who was pushing drugs to make a living. His mother was found dead on the streets in an unsolved case. 50 Cent was taken under the wing of his grandparents. He was able to run the streets, stacking money and a list of raps songs along with it. 50 Cent pursued his rapping further, signing JMJ, the label of Run DMC DJ Jam Master Jay, after the birth of his son. With JMJ 50 learned the ropes in the industry, but the timing wasn’t right and he was abandoned. In 1999 Columbia Records signed 50 Cent after the Trackmasters pulled 50 out of the crowd. He turned out 36 tracks in two weeks in the studio. 50 really grabbed attention in the industry with the lyrics of one of his songs, joking about robbing big name rappers. The controversy turned heads and got his name in the light.
50 Cent has announced details of a three-date UK arena tour.The trio of shows, in support of last month's new album Before I Self Destruct, will kick off at Birmingham's LG Arena on March 19.The rapper will then play London's Wembley Arena and Manchester's MEN Arena.
