Madrid has much to offer when it comes to beautiful public gardens. Madrid city is often referred to as Europe's greenest capital. There is a vast expanse green space around Madrid, making it a very pleasant city to visit. If you decide to visit Madrid the five parks to visit are:
1. Retiro Park is a park absolutely beautiful and is composed of several sculptures, monuments, parks and a lake. There is a very beautiful architecture to admire. The beauty of the park Retiro is that it is only 10 minutes walk from the historic main city center.
In the middle of the park, you will see el del Estanque Retiro Retiro called Pond. It can be used for boating and is ideal for weekends. Lakeside, is a collection of semi-circular colonnade monuments built in honor of King Alfonso XII. Miniature stately columns and colossal statues Lion, the colonnade is worth viewing.
2. Casa de Campo is a very unique park consisting of 1722 hectares and is one of the largest parks in Europe. It consists of an amusement park, zoo and the cable where you can get a glimpse of the beautiful Madrid.
In summer, there are many music festivals held at Case de Campo. It is an ideal place to come and relax.
3. Royal Botanical Gardens is located in the heart of the city. Designed by architect Francesco Sabatini, with subsequent work by Juan de Villanueva gardens consist of plants on five continents, with many of South America and the Philippines.
warm climate allows the Madrid Royal Botanical Gardens to be open all year. This is a fantastic place to relax for lunch while admiring the surroundings.
4. Campo del Moro and Sabatini Gardens are located behind the Royal Palace in Madrid. These gardens belong to the famous Royal Palace in Madrid and were open to the public in 1978 by King Juan Carlos I.
The gardens were carved to represent a classic European style, including geometric patterns and fountains. On weekends, there are many entertainers performing at their harmonicas and accordions in these gardens can be a very uplifting experience.
5. Parque del Oeste is an absolutely wonderful park, which lies at the end west of Madrid. Unlike the royal gardens, this park has been carefully carved from a very naturalistic style, enjoying open spaces of grass.
The main attraction here is the Rosaleda, which consists of a beautiful rose garden with fountains and Victoria rose vines. This park is very popular with locals and tourists because of its central location and is very close to many historical sites
There are many to Madrid and see the beauty of these parks is that they are near other historic sites such as the Royal Palace and are remote walk from downtown.
